Come discover Nevada's rich natural and cultural heritage in an inspiring, interactive workshop through visual and musical storytelling. Award-winning artists – songwriter/performer Jim Eaglesmith & nature photographer/geologist Mark Vollmer – will help you learn what rocks create the ground beneath Eagle Valley & the Carson City Library, and the life that this geology supports. Find out how Native Americans and later European settlers used this knowledge to build & maintain their communities up to the present day. Sing, laugh and stomp to rhythms of percussion instruments & an original song that the audience creates! This program is funded, in part, by a grant from the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
