The Carson City Library Board of Trustees approved new library hours during their August 25, 2016 board meeting.
The change was in response to a review of the library being open seven days a week (which was implemented in 2015) and how the community responded to the new hours. A survey was conducted to assist in determining the communities needs for the library hours of operation. This survey was available on the Carson City Library's website, social media and in articles in local newspapers.
The survey and library circulation statistics identified a need to open earlier during the week while staying open seven days a week. The new hours (listed above) are the results of the survey and circulation statistics.
The Carson City Library strives to provide services that support the community, which includes hours of operation that meet the needs of the Carson City Community.
