Closure in December 2017 for Refresh

Library Closing in December

The Carson City Library is preparing for a refresh of the library space and will be closed for up to 8 weeks starting December 10, 2017.

This will include internal painting and refinishing the floors with concrete. This was approved in the City’s Capital Improvement Project budget for the FY18 (July 2017-June 2018). This will update and refresh the space while removing safety issues with our current (and in some places 20 year old) carpet on the first floor. The library will be showing up at community locations and offering library services! This will include but is not limited to, offering Story Times, Book Club, and Citizenship Classes. Pop Up services will include LIMITED Laptop Use via Wi-Fi, New Book Checkout, Kindle Checkout, Check In, and “how to” assistance for e-book use. Click here for more information: Library Refresh FAQ's.

We will not be able to sell JAC Bus Passes during our closure. Please visit one of the other locations that sells passes.
