FRIENDS OF THE CARSON CITY LIBRARY was formed in 1965. As a result of the FRIENDS’ members, the Carson City Library opened in June, 1966. The Carson City Library is recognized as an exceptional center of information and socialization in the community due, in large extent, to support in the form of substantial contributions of time, talent and money by the FRIENDS.
Throughout the years, the FRIENDS have continued to support the Library in times of need. Because of budgetary constraints of recent years, the Library FRIENDS have stepped up to help.
When you join the FRIENDS, you are making a direct contribution to maintaining and expanding the Library as a valuable community asset, providing education, enjoyment and enlightenment for you, your children, your family, and your friends, now and in the future.
